## About

I created CT Young Queens to give girls a place to learn flag football, develop their skills, compete, travel, and build lasting confidence. I welcome players across age groups and experience levels, from beginners learning the game to athletes ready for high school competition. My focus is bigger than football: I put the girls first, support their growth, and build a family where every Queen can work hard, have fun, and become her strongest self.

## FAQ

### What is girls' flag football?

Girls' flag football is a non-contact version of football where plays end when a flag is pulled from the ball carrier. It combines athletic movement, teamwork, strategy, and skill development in an engaging team setting.

### Who can participate in a girls' flag football program?

Programs may welcome athletes across several youth and teen age groups, including players who are new to the sport. A professional program can help families understand which group best fits a player's age and development.

### Does my child need prior football experience?

Prior experience is not always necessary, since many athletes begin by learning the fundamentals through guided instruction and practice. A supportive coaching environment can help players build confidence while developing skills at their own pace.

### What skills do players develop through flag football?

Players can develop passing, catching, route running, footwork, defensive awareness, communication, and game understanding. The sport also encourages discipline, confidence, cooperation, and positive decision-making.

### How can I choose the right flag football program for my child?

Look for a program that prioritizes player safety, respectful coaching, skill development, and a positive team culture. Families should feel comfortable asking how the program supports athletes as both competitors and growing individuals.
